Depression Nutritional Therapy

Studies on nutritional factors that affect the onset of depression

Study 1: EPA, DHA, Omega 3 fatty acids and fish reduce the occurrence of depression in adolescents.

A large study published in 2010 in the prestigious Journal of Pediatrics showed that teenagers, especially boys, who consumed higher amounts of EPA, DHA, precursors of Omega 3 fatty acids found in high concentration in fish such as tuna, salmon, small fish with bones, sardines, mackerel, herring, eel, trout, had lower incidence of depressive symptoms.
